Lyth Valley Team
The new Lyth Valley Team was set up in 2005 as a three year experiment in the Kendal Deanery to join groups of churches together in teams to work in partnership to effect growth in our mission and ministry in the deanery. The Diocese of Carlisle has a plan called “From Survival to Revival” and each deanery is responding to the challenge to grow the church in the coming years working together to the common vision and plan.
Revd Tim Montomery is to be the Team Leader during this experiment and will remain based at the Resource Church, St Thomas, in Kendal. In September 2005, the Revd Tim Harmer joined the team with specific responsibility for Helsington, Underbarrow and Crook. In February 2006, Revd Michael Woodcock joined the team with specific responsibility for Crosthwaite, Witherslack, Winster and Cartmel Fell.
