September has been the start of new things and the regeneration of current things...

9.30am Service

The format

At The 9.30am service has a distinctive shape that embraces liturgy, word and worship, providing an opportunity to encounter God.

We usually alternate between Holy Communion and Morning Worship.

Renewed expectation

We It is easy for a service to become predictable and self-indulgent. The format above gives us all an opportunity to be renewed in our expectation of meeting with the Living God.

Same God

We are not changing our message or our understanding of God, but we are building on it. He is the same yesterday, today and forever - there is so much still for us to discover about our awesome loving God!

Come and worship. Have expectation!

11.15am Service

New format

At the 11.15 service we continue to have a selection of services all together or with adults in church and children in their various groups in the lounge.  But we will be getting a better rhythm going so we know exactly what type of service to expect.

1st Sunday. Family Communion (all ages together)
2nd Sunday.  Morning Worship (children in groups)
3rd Sunday.  Holy Communion (children in groups)
4th Sunday.  Family Service (all ages together)
On 5th Sundays we will be having something extra special!

Renewed expectation

We will be focusing on ‘the family’ in its widest context but also with an emphasis on growing up in our faith together.  God has put us in our families and has brought us together as a church family.  He is our Father – the best parent we could possibly have – and we gather to worship Him, to seek His ways for our lives and to pray for the families and communities close to our hearts in Kendal and beyond.

Same God

We are not changing our message or our understanding of God, but we are building on it. He is the same yesterday, today and forever - there is so much still for us to discover about our awesome loving God!

Come and worship. Have expectation!

7.30pm Service

New format

The 7.30 service has enabled us to take time worshipping God and responding to what he has been saying. Yet there is so much more still to be discovered and released.
Prayer is essential but perhaps lacking in this service and so we are now giving more time over to crying out to God for our community and our nation.
We have also noticed that many people are long-term ill. We believe in a God who heals and so we are including an opportunity every week for people to come specifically for healing. This means everyone at the service being involved!

Renewed expectation

It is easy for a service to become predictable and self-indulgent. Changing the format to include the above gives us all an opportunity to be renewed in our expectation of meeting with the living God.

Same God

We are not changing our message or our understanding of God, but we are building on it. He is the same yesterday, today and forever - there is so much still for us to discover about our awesome loving God!

Come and worship. Invite those who are long-term ill. Have expectation!
